The Post Office Delivers Community

Community Connection is a newly launched Web site from the U.S. Postal Service. Its goal is to help forge partnerships between local post offices, elementary schools, parents, and educators. The Web site features specially designed education kits, a “School Days & American Ways” curriculum-connected classroom calendar and teacher’s guide, and encourages educators and students to consider 39,000 area post offices across the country for field trips. Community Connection makes it easy to see how much of America’s history and culture is reflected in our postage stamps, and will make a great addition to other online social studies resources.
