Librarians and teen book lovers are in luck this summer. SYNC, an online community that hopes to build an audience for audiobooks, is offering two free downloads of some amazing titles each week for the next two months.

sync(Original Import)

Until September 1, anyone 13 and up can download audiobooks ranging from Handbook for Boys by Walter Dean Myers and Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens to Wondrous Strange by Lesley Livingston and A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare. The titles, which are in MP3 format, are compatible with any digital player or computer, and the choices are from some of the best audiobook producers.

Downloading the books is so simply--there's no required sign-up, personal details, or credit card information required.

School and public librarians are encouraged to spread the word by adding links about the offer to their library website, emailing their library discussion groups and colleagues, posting on Twitter and Facebook, and creating displays. There are also free print outs to help librarians entice new listeners to take advantage of their expanding audiobook collection. And there's an added plus-SNYC's social networking features lets listeners interact with authors, narrators, and audiobook producers.

Start downloading now. Two new titles-a current teen favorite and a classic with a similar theme-will be paired each week, offering teens a great way to listen to great literature all summer long.

Here's the schedule of audiobooks available for download.
