The College Board has just released its "College Completion Agenda 2010 Progress Report," and if you don't have time to shoulder through the full 282-page document, at least take a look at the 16-page executive summary. After a 2008 report by the Commission on Access, Admissions, and Success in Higher Education revealed that the number of students who completed college and high school in the United States had "dropped dramatically," a set of 10 recommendations was created to help boost the graduation rate to 55 percent by 2025. According to the 2010 Progress Report, there's plenty of reason to be alarmed—the U.S. has slipped from first to 21st place in high school completion among 27 nations.
