Looking for a resource for great images for science projects and reports? The NOAA Photo Collection from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is virtually guaranteed to have everything your patrons or students need, and since the images are all in the public domain, they're copyright free. Online visitors can also get information about the photographers, and there's a terrific list of other NOAA sites. The NOAA Photo Collection includes 22 topic areas, from "NOAA's Ark" ("a virtual boatload of fins, fur, and feathers") to "Paths Less Taken–NOAA at the Ends of the Earth," and all of the images are searchable.
