Willo Davis Roberts, a writer of young adult suspense novels and a recipient of three Edgar Allen Poe awards, whose books included Megan's Island (1988) and Nightmare (1989, both S & S/Atheneum), died of congestive heart failure at her home outside Granite Falls, WA. She was 76.
"Willo was an amazing writer and an amazing person who really knew her audience and what she wanted to write," says Julie Richardson, her editor at Atheneum. "She would always get tons of letters from her readers. We're going to miss her very much."
