Esch, Ben. Sophomore Undercover. Hyperion. Feb. 2009. ISBN: 978-1-4231-1303-4. Gr 7–10.

-- School Library Journal, 2/4/2009 6:52:00 AM

All I have to say about Sophomore Undercover is that the story in it itself may have potential but the author needs to work on hooking the reader from the beginning. He takes too much time describing the setting and character instead of the issue at hand and drawing in the character. I did not continue the book. This is likely why I stopped reading, the beginning did not draw me into the story.—Manee T., age 16
