This book concept was alluring and captivating for me, it was very enthralling. Even the cover tempted me to pick it up. I found myself unable to look away for a moment from this book, afraid that someone else might grab it away. The most compelling part about this tale is enhanced romance. Damen is one of the main characters of this tale, and was a very large hook for me, and will be probably for the other girls that happen to read it. But this story happened to have a little too much unrealistic tone to the plot for me.
I was disappointed with the very unrealistic edge to it. It was over the top. I am not the person that enjoys the magic radiating from a book. It was definitely the case for this book. Also the plot happened to be very predictable. There are so many books out there about a girl meeting a vampire nowadays that it became a little nauseating at one point.
This book will have teen appeal to lots of girls across America, but the truth is I was not a fan of it. The story was so predictable that I was betting money on what would happen. Boy, did I get rich off of that! But one thing that I found fascinating was the reincarnation. I found myself entranced with that part, my eyes were glued to the pages. If there had been more in the book about Ever's past, I might have had a different opinion of this story. – Maddie S., age 15
