Mid-Round Peanut

April 14, 2009

By all rights and our rules, this should be in Friday's Peanut Gallery, but we thought you'd enjoy it as a mid-round entertainment.  It being a video by a couple of young women who are totally besotted with this competition and trying to read all the books right now.  Writes one, "I secretly hope at the end of each day, when the winners of each contest are announced, a cannon is fired and a picture of the killed-off book is projected into the night sky."  (Hmm... SLJ: are you listening? Is it too late to try this?)   For the lyrics and a bit more about it go here

This was so clever! And such a huge amount of work--somebody give those young ladies a full scholarship to library school!
