Pointing to effective practice, join the wiki!
November 27, 2009
What does an effective school library look like? What does it look like online?
One of the big issues in our field is that we do not have a clear way to point to effective practice. What
does our best stuff look like?
Considering our relatively new ability to share so much of our programs online, this should not be a problem.
So, let's start collecting and sharing out loud.
Let's revive the wiki I used a few years back to house my dissertation research and completely repurpose it.
Please consider joining me and a few fabulous colleague
geek squaders in an effective practice experiment.
(The very amazing
Gwyneth Jones,
Marie Slim, and
Karen Kliegman have agreed to lead our wiki! Others are very welcome, as well.)
Like many things 2.0, this is an experiment in radical trust. We are not listing criteria for inclusion. Please share what you consider your best work.
Share your main library websites:
elementary,
middle school and
high school examples and please also share specific examples of effective practice in the following areas:
Please also add your names to our lists of
SchoolLibraryBloggers and
SchoolLibraryTweeters and consider linking us to your best
presentations
Please also suggest other types of pages for sharing.
Together, let's see what we can grow. Let's see what we might point to as effective practice.
