iGoogle themes: make your homepage more beautiful!
February 13, 2008
While working on an article on using iGoogle with learners, I made a stunning discovery. (You know, I have no real life. And pretty things matter a lot to me.)
Well, it is time to cheer, my friends! We are no longer limited to 6 themes and each of your tabs can now host a different theme.
iGoogle now offers pages and pages of themes to shop through. And so, I was able to successfully delay serious writing yet again to explore the prettiest ways to decorate my demo class pages.
One problem. I wish we could search these themes. Though you can resort the themes by newness and popularity, you'd think that a search tool would offer a search tool.
Nevertheless, here are a few examples of my newly decorated tabs for my homepage, for science, for global studies, for Spanish, for games, for library stuff, and for puzzles and games. I like this and I think the kids will like it too. And I think it will encourage them even more to organize their information spaces.
