NeoK12: another cool portal for video

June 9, 2009 I just discovered NeoK12  from Judy O'Connell's HeyJude Blog.

And I added this one to my Video Portal Pathfinder too. (You may remember my recent gushing about about PBS Video and SnagFilms.)

The site explains its mission:
Kids learn best by "seeing" the world.  Here's the best selection of free online educational videos and lessons from all over the Internet.
Site managers note that all included videos have been reviewed and screened by K12 teachers and encourage viewers to rate videos for grade appropriateness.

The very simple interface includes a topic browse and search box. It lists videos you've recently watched, and it features an interesting video of the day.

Share this before summer break or at an early faculty meeting.  And when you do, teach about the wonders of embedding!

Note: A great deal of the NeoK12 content comes from YouTube.  So, if YouTube is blocked, this is probably not a solution for you.
