SafeShareTV and Quitetube (for noise-free portal video)

September 19, 2009

If you love using YouTube videos for learning and . . .
  • you are occasionally embarrassed by unexpected comments and related videos
  • you want to share a clip of a longer video and don't have the time to bring that video into editing software to chop . . .
you'll likely find SafeShareTV a very handy tool.

SafeShareTV is not a solution for YouTube filters.  It is simply a strategy for presenting and sharing videos with students, school boards, and colleagues--without unexpected distractions.

How does it work?  Simply paste the url of any YouTube video into SafeShare.TV.   You have the option of dragging a handy bookmarklet to your toolbar.

Also check out Quietube, which doesn't clip, but also effectively removes the noise you find on film portals,  placing your newly quiet video on either a white or black background.  Quietube also offers a convenient toolbar button or bookmarklet.
