Whose Shoes These Are I Think I Know / The Store's in the West Village ThoughNovember 28, 2008Not too long ago I summed up a Penguin preview that featured a YA novel's cover. Here is the cover in particular:
Very 30's @ Nordstrom:
Foxy @ Guess:
(sorry, but that's as big as the picture gets)
Finally I cracked. I asked author Robin Palmer if she knew what they were. She didn't, but she put me in touch with Kristin Smith who told me that she'd found the shoes in a Century 21 in Brooklyn. Huh! Story gets weirder. She sent me this link, identifying the shoes and showing this little puppy to the left here. Apparently the shoes I've been lusting after all this time come from a Jessica Simpson line. They're called "Olden" sandals. And to think I would ever want anything at all to do with Ms. Simpson. *sigh* Posted by Elizabeth Bird on November 28, 2008 | Comments (8)

In response to: Whose Shoes These Are I Think I Know / The Store's in the West Village Though R.J. Anderson commented: I also lack the shoe gene, and dare not wear heels over 1" anyway, for fear of imperiling my health and the safety of everyone around me. That being said, those shoes are completely delightful and I bet they will look smashing on you if you ever find them. Good luck!

In response to: Whose Shoes These Are I Think I Know / The Store's in the West Village Though Dan Santat commented: Wow, as a male and observing from a distance this was an amazing observation of the female psyche and their passion for shoes regardless of your claim of not being a shoe person. It's like you just had your own Black Friday all online.

Hey and while you're at it, could you find me my Double-H brand Scooter boot? The cat destroyed the last pair. Happy thanksgiving!
