Launching Your Own "All Together Now" & Thanks

September 4, 2008 | Link This | Email this | Comments (4)

My hope for all of the participants in SLJ's "All Together Now" is that many of you may choose to do a version of this program or the larger "23 Things" in your own libraries or schools. One thing you can do is enhance and augment each activity to fit your own needs.

To make it super easy, I have archived all of the activities and postings at a special Wordpress blog at Tame the Web:

To make it even easier, you can download the entire blog (with all posts, categories, etc) at this link:

Note: Images are not included, but feel free to grab them from the site.

  • If SLJ offered another discovery program like this in the future, would you again chose to participate?
In closing, I want to thank each and every one of you for joining me on this journey. I hope you've been...Read More

First, watch this video:

Tagging
is an open and informal method of categorizing that allows users to associate keywords with online content (webpages, pictures & posts). Unlike library subject cataloging, which follows a strict set of guidelines (i.e.Library of Congress subject headings), tagging is completely uns

Change Happens...

Two Point Ohmmmmm writes:

Change happens.  Constantly.  New technologies, both online and off, are bound to have an impact on the world.

Libraries and the Web are both just a part of the change.  The terms “library 2.0″ and “web 2.0″ are just tags used to try to describe the current status and the potential for future change (using the concept of versions brought about by  technological upgrades and enhancements).  People use the terms to try to quickly and clearly define a set of changes or tools…but change and time rarely have clear beginnings or ends.  The changes don’t come to us in handy “service packs” such as we get f...Read More
