More than 200 school and public librarians from the New York City tri-state area and beyond gathered this weekend to hear Laurie Halse Anderson, Jon Scieszka, Leonard Marcus, and other hot authors and illustrators speak at BookFest@BankStreet, an annual event devoted to the celebration, discovery, and discussion of books for children and teens.

The October 30 event, which used to take place at New York Public Library, this year moved to the Bank Street College of Education (with SLJ as one of the sponsors.)

Read what attendees had to say about the event on Facebook and Twitter. And view videos of presentations by Marcus, Anderson, and Scieszka below.

Thank you for posting this. I had a previous engagement and really hated to miss this panel. I never miss a chance to hear of new and novel strategies to keep guys reading.
