Gr 2–4—Soccer fans will rejoice when they find a book about their favorite club. Using ample full-color photographs, this series provides a brief overview of the history of 16 different soccer clubs. Readers are first introduced to the team and given a snapshot of its history, its kit and crest (uniform and logo), and the pitch it calls home. Famous players are spotlighted through playing cards, which identify the players' names, positions, and active years, as well as some of their greatest achievements. Each team's rivalries and fans are described to give readers a clearer view of the team's background. An infographic-style section shows on a map where some of the players on each team come from, illustrating the international nature of the sport. Memorable games, championships, and awards are identified for each club.
