Combating Conflict with Character

Gr 7 Up—The issues facing teens today are tackled in a straightforward manner in this character education series. In question and answer format, viewers are given information about peer pressure, prejudice, bullying, handling anger and frustration, and managing conflict resolution. Current and relevant information, including statistics, are interspersed throughout. A diverse panel of teens role play scenarios, showing both good and bad ways to handle situations. In interviews, teens share their experiences and professionals provide expert commentary. Viewers will learn important strategies to cope with and combat conflict. While the series is targeted primarily for use by high school students, it will also work well with upper middle school classes.
