PreS-Gr 2—The empathic touch of Mister Rogers is carried on in these life lessons, now taught by the animated cub Daniel Tiger. Each episode presents a problem and its resolution. Daniel Tiger and friends O the Owl, Miss Elaina, and Prince Wednesday work through issues at home and school. Teacher Harriet and Daniel Tiger's parents are on hand to help the children work through feelings of sadness in "Ducky Goes Home," being left out in "Daniel Feels Left Out," and frustration in "Daniel Gets Frustrated" and "Frustration at School." Each episode models how to deal with emotions and poses a remedy through songs and make-believe situations. Tunes, such as "It's Okay to Feel Sad Sometimes" and "When You Are Feeling Frustrated," are short, easy to recall, and designed to help kids resolve a problem. A moment in a story has Daniel asking viewers what they would do, which allows a pause for discussion. Real-life segments such as visiting a bug museum, feeding ducks, doing an art project with a friend, and making spaghetti and meatballs at a restaurant complete each episode. Ugga Mugga! It's a very good feeling to spend time with Daniel Tiger in his neighborhood.—
