Fun Fun Fun World

Gr 4-6–The spaceship Devastorm 5 is under orders to conquer planets throughout the galaxy; unfortunately, Captain Minky and his crew aren’t quite up to the task. Humiliated by a slew of defeats, Minky sets his sights on Earth. He and his crew mistake the amusement park Fun Fun Fun World for Earth, and hilarity ensues. Javi, son of the engineer who is renovating the park, is determined to defeat the aliens and track down Franklyn Funger, creator of the park (according to a conspiracy theory, his brain was implanted in a robot’s body). Soon the alien queen determines that Fun Fun Fun World must be blown up, and the Devastorm 5 crew must team up with Javi to save the planet. Bright, colorful pages, dominated by vivid pinks, purples, and reds and filled with plenty of dialogue, keep this action-packed narrative moving at a fast clip as readers get to know various members of the Devastorm 5 crew. Goofy humor will have readers giggling.
