Lisa Cheese and Ghost Guitar: Attack of the Snack

Gr 8 Up–While picking up some tasty pork buns for a midnight snack, the unicorn with a cyborg arm known as Lisa Cheese gets caught between a fighter whose hair magically burns green and three goons with burger heads. Par for the course, this is just another day for this wannabe folk singer from a different dimension. But when she meets the incredibly cool-headed Ghost Guitar, the two must fight to save their world from the burger chain that wants to destroy everything they hold dear. To do that, they must prevent the chain from waking Lunch Lady, a mysterious and powerful being who has a stronger connection to our hero than even she knows. The visual style of this graphic novel is so unique. Every panel offers a wide range of colors, and the author clearly knows how to illustrate fights, especially with such inventive characters. This page turner will have readers wanting to see what fantastical thing happens next.
