PreS-Gr 3—Sizzling guitars, pounding drum beats, and catchy tunes are the hallmarks of these 11 original and mostly electronic pop-rock songs. Alitzah Wiener, an actress, singer, and songwriter from Southern California, composed all the songs. Several of these highly energetic and lively numbers are bilingual or in Spanish. The highlight of the album is "Made in the U.S.A.," a rocking tribute to the 50 states (in alphabetical order). Not the traditional song, "ABC's" is an energetic romp through the alphabet. In "Super Hero," one must rise above adversity. "Fun in the Sun," with a Beach Boys beat, celebrates a day at the beach. This song is repeated on another track in Spanish ("Diversión en el Sol"). With a desire to spread love, peace, and happiness around the world, Twinkle Time sings "L-O-V-E" in English and in Spanish on two separate tracks. The other songs are "Rise & Shine," "Shake It Off," "Happy Holidays," and "The Halloween Dance," which includes cautionary advice for trick-or-treaters.
