Get ready to battle old-school style in this mashup of 28 classic NES games from the '80s and '90s. Kids will gain a newfound appreciation for the trials and tribulations of their elders (there were no save points back then!) and adults will rejoice at reliving their childhoods. Players have the chance to earn up to three stars in each snippet in a variety of timed challenges from favorite games such as Super Mario Bros., Ice Climber, Kirby's Adventure, and Metroid to unlock more levels from titles such as the original Zelda, Excite Bike and Dr. Mario. Additional content includes a full game of Super Luigi Bros. Players also have the option to challenge other players in Miiverse with Challenge Mode to see if you can get your score on the letter board.
VERDICT An excellent purchase for circulating gaming collections with great potential for intergenerational programming.
