Peppa Pig: School Bus Trip

PreS-Gr 1—Giggly British pig Peppa and her animal friends star in this program centered mostly on school situations, including a field trip, a gym class, a school play, a sports day, and camp. Her parents and their animal progeny behave in a childlike manner, and gentle humor is the order of the day. Peppa's theme song opens and closes each "Peppasode," and young children will probably join in on the jocular "Bing Bong Song." Some phrases may be lost in translation, such as torch for flashlight and jumble sale instead of rummage sale. The only educational use might be as an introduction to good sportsmanship or how to repair a quarrel with a friend, but the lessons are not inherent in the stories.
