The Cartoon Network series Over the Garden Wall is being adapted into a comic, to be published by BOOM! Studios in its KaBoom imprint; Hero Complex has a preview of the art and an interview with creator Pat McHale.

Abrams unveils its fall lineup of children’s graphic novels, which includes Night of the FrankenFrogs, a new series from Chris Schweizer (of Crogan Adventures fame); a new Salem Hyde book from Frank Cammuso; Let Me Walk You Home, a YA graphic novel about sexual assault; and Hereville: How Mirka Caught a Fish, the latest in the series by Barry Deutsch.

I don’t think an eight year old should be reading about this either, but our book isn’t for an eight year old. The Caldecott goes up to 14 years old. I think it might not be for all 14-year-olds either, but 14-year-olds are not little blinkered human beings anymore. And it is supposed to be scary and intimidating, [because] that’s what sex is at that time. It’s certainly not represented in any titillating way, even in SMMA—there’s nothing titillating about lying on the grass.
