I love this Antiques Roadshow video (sent to me by school librarian John Schumacher) of a woman getting a signed first edition of Mary Poppins appraised. 800 channels, and we can’t get an Antiques Roadshow: Children’s Books Edition?

I’d say its this book, Hide & Eek! The reader uses a flashlight to reveal hidden illustrations. Can’t say I’ve seen this technique before. It has a pretty fun book trailer as well. Click here for pictures.

Trend watch: if you aren’t proposing to your lady with the help of a picture book, you aren’t doing it right. First there was the illustrator who popped the question in the acknowledgements of his debut book, then there was the dude in Chicago who created a picture book to ask for his lady’s hand. Now we have a guy in North Carolina following suit.
