PreS-Gr 1–Princess Truly invites her friends over for an Easter party. During the egg hunt, they come across the Easter Bunny, but his cart is broken and he can’t deliver all of his eggs. Using her “rainbow magic” curls, Princess Truly fashions the bunny a beautiful rabbit-themed balloon from the party tent. That saves the day, and the Easter Bunny is able to deliver his goods. This book features the beautiful pastels of the previous books in the series. Rhyming text makes it easy to read, and the story has a nice flow. Princess Truly has brown skin, rainbow magic curly hair, and is a great leader to her friends and pets.
VERDICT A perfect holiday selection where the "Princess Truly" books are already a hit; but even where they aren’t, rhyming books are always great for story times.
