When a bunny made of snow begins to melt, the girls take it outside and are surprised when it hops away and beckons for them to follow. One of the sisters uses a wheelchair to get around, but she, too, is able to track the bunny through the deep snow because her sister helps her when she gets stuck. Alone, neither girl would have seen the rabbit come to life, but together they are able to entertain each other and bring a bit of magic into their lives. In the end, it is the now gigantic rabbit that helps them get home safely.
VERDICT This picture book about selfless love looks as beautiful as the message behind it.

In this wordless offering, a girl shows her wheelchair-bound sister a rabbit that she finds in the snow. After it scampers away, they chase after it, and the wheelchair gets stuck. Through magic, the rabbit carries the disabled child to safety. The delicate cut-paper art gets it all across: the air's chill, the sisterly warmth, and the rescue's drama.
