In this overarching look at the ways in which people show affection, it’s noteworthy that Morros included a mention of consent, to make clear to the children reading it that they do not have to accept kisses that they don’t welcome. With people of all ages, genders, and races, this story has representation for all. The unique and bright illustrations make this book rich in imagery and is visually appealing. A quick but thoughtful read.
VERDICT An excellent choice for Spanish-speaking communities and libraries.
