A group of Tor and Tor Teen authors gathered in New York City for a meet and greet on February 28 that took place at the Flatiron Building before an event at Books of Wonder. Books by V.E. Schwab (A Conjuring of Light), Susan Dennard (Windwitch), debut author Erika Lewis (Game of Shadows), and Kim Liggett (The Last Harvest) were celebrated at the fete, which was attended by bloggers, journalists, and fans.

On March 1, the YA crossover author of Juliet Takes a Breath, Gabby Rivera, debuted the first issue of Mavel's "America" comics at Midtown Comics's downtown location in New York City. The superheroine comic centers on the adventures of America Chavez, a queer Latina teenager with superhuman strength and durability and the power of flight.
