Capstone, a leading publisher of children’s books and digital products and services, has just released to its customers a beta version of its popular PreK-3 research solution PebbleGo™ for mobile devices. PebbleGo 2.0 features a new interface design optimized for the iPad, Android, Kindle Fire HD—and other mobile devices—as well as a number of enhancements to the navigation for a more consistent user experience across all four of the database modules: Animals, Biographies, Earth and Space, and Social Studies. Among the new features on 2.0 are easier access to the main menu through a “Home” button and a print and media toolbar grouping navigation functions such as activities, videos, and audio together. (Customers can choose to start using the PebbleGo 2.0 now, or remain with the original PebbleGo through the middle of June at which point they will automatically migrate to the updated version.) “We know it’s a busy time of year for schools, so we are giving our customers the option to try the new version during this beta period and to provide us feedback as we complete the final adjustments for its official launch in June," said David Samuelson, general manager of Capstone’s library division. Customers with updated browsers (Chrome, Safari 5.0 or higher, FireFox 19.0 or higher, Internet Explorer 9 or higher) will experience the new features through both their mobile devices and desktop computers. I'd like to upgrade my teacher account so that my students can access the materials from their ipads as well.
