Award programs like the Children’s Book Council’s Children’s Choice Book Awards and the Ontario Library Association’s Forest of Reading Awards give kids the opportunity to read and vote on their favorite books. Both programs do an amazing job of generating excitement around reading and make kids feel like their opinions on books are important.

Luckily, there is also a kids’ choice award program exclusively for graphic novels!

Early last week, Kids’ Comics Revolution!, a podcast dedicated to spotlighting the worlds of kids’ comics and kid lit, announced its third annual KCR! Kids’ Comics Awards, honoring the best comics and graphic novels for kids published across the U.S. and Canada.

These awards offer kids the opportunity to share their enthusiasm for comics by voting for their favorite comics and characters across twelve categories, both serious and silly.

The awards will be announced on June 21st at a fun-filled ceremony featuring authors, musicians, puppets and more, held during the Kids Read Comics celebration at the Ann Arbor District Library.

From now through June 20, 2015, kids can vote via online ballot here.
