Pictures of the Week: Author Kate Beaton Chats with Book Sellers, Librarians

Author and comics artist Kate Beaton had dinner with librarians and book sellers at New York City's Hundred Acres to promote her first picture book, The Princess and the Pony.
At a Scholastic dinner, held at the restaurant Hundred Acres in New York City on July 1, author and comics artist Kate Beaton sat down with librarians and book sellers from The Strand Bookstore and WORD to discuss her picture book, The Princess and the Pony (Scholastic, 2015), about a warrior princess who wishes for a majestic steed but instead receives a roly-poly little pony. Beaton also took the time to personally autograph copies of her work for each attendee. A girl and her pony: Kate Beaton poses with a plush version of the pony from her book.

I love your book "The Princess and the Pony." I not only own a horse but have many equine loving friends. Where could we purchase a plush pony? (the fat, farty one!)
