Among the 37 percent of U.S. public libraries offering yoga activities, according to a 2014 Library Journal programming survey, over three-quarters offer yoga for adults; almost 40 percent have classes for children; and 25 percent offer teen yoga. How popular is the practice among library patrons? “Very popular,” say 22 percent of librarians, while 44 percent say it is “popular.” Only six percent report that it's “not too popular.” Who leads the classes? Eighty-one percent of libraries work with outside instructors, while 10 percent of library yoga offerings are led by library staffers, and nine percent are taught by a mix of staff and outside instructors. I would also add to the list "The Happiest Tree: A Yoga Story" by Uma Krishmaswami about a young girl who fears her clumsiness will ruin the class play.

Thanks for such a great list! I lead a toddler/preschool yoga storytime and get a great turnout - little ones are great at stretching into yoga poses and parents learn th benefits of yoga practice on a regular basis!
