Tib and Tumtum 1 228x300 This Weeks Comics: Tib KnightsTib And Tumtum Volume 1 Welcome To The Tribe – Lerner Publishing welcomes a new unlikely duo to their Graphic Universe line up. Young prehistoric boy Tib has made friends with a dinosaur named Tumtum. But none of the grownups in his tribe believe him. They all know dinosaurs disappeared ages ago. So it’s with startled looks that they watch the friendly red dino save the tribe’s kids from a pack of hungry wolves. For this heroic act, the tribe’s shaman decides it’s time to welcome a dinosaur into the tribe. This title has everything to make it popular with kids and tweens; action, showing up the grownups and a cute red dinosaur. I don’t see how this title wouldn’t disappear off book and library shelves!

twinknights This Weeks Comics: Tib KnightsTwin Knights Volume 1 – Veritcal is back with the sequel to one of the original girl’s manga, Princess Knight., The Princess Knight, Sapphire has hung up her sword and married her love Franz, becoming queen to their combined realm. She gives birth to twins, a boy and girl, who are equal in the royal succession, but there is a dispute over who should be the true heir. A familiar-faced cherub is summoned to settle the matter, and sheer luck chooses the boy. Some are still unhappy with this choice, and Prince Daisy is kidnapped, leaving Princess Violetta to follow in her mother’s footsteps. Breathless adventures await her and her new friend, the gypsy lass Emerald. This one-volume sequel to Princess Knight continues many of the themes of the original as Tezuka continues to look at gender roles, adding the unpredictability of chance and power. This title is a must for any library shelf and will look especially good next to the Princess Knight set.
