He falls in love with a music-box ballerina and has the best hour of his life, dancing in her arms until he has to return to his globe, or melt. In the nick of time, the tiny dancer is granted her own wish: to live with her newfound partner forever. This "Cinderella" tale, with soft watercolor illustrations, tugs at the heartstrings, resulting in a story that is sweet, though unoriginal.
