Okay, this may be the easiest way yet to tell a professional looking story on your iPad. I can see this app used with kiddos of nearly any age. I can see it becoming a classroom staple. (Especially when it moves to multiple platforms.)
Adobe Voice is a new, free app that allows you to:
1. Choose the type of story you are creating from among these structures:
teach a lesson share a growth moment share an invitation promote an idea show and tell follow a hero’s journey explain something tell what happened make up my own2. Hold a simple record button to record your voice for each slide. You can record over your voice as many times as it takes and a magical audio sweetening feature makes you sound more professional.
3. Choose icons or photos for each slide. There’s a library of tens of thousands of icons. A photo search feature allows you to choose Creative Commons images online and automaticallly credits them on the last slide. (You may add further credits there as well.) You may also takes photos with the app’s camera function (think field trip!), or choose images from your iPad, Facebook or Dropbox. Big tip: Have the photos you want to use ready to go on your Camera Roll.
4. Add text.
5. Choose a theme.
6. Easily add, duplicate, delete, or scootch slides around on the bottom timeline.
7. Add music from around 40 soundtracks or choose a song from your iPad.
8. Post online to Facebook, Twitter, share via email or message, or copy and paste a link. Videos are embeddable. (I do wish a simple download option was available.)
